Dear Fitch Mountain Folks,
Happy New Year!
Because of the increased expense of renting the Villa Annex and because there is
no compelling business that needs to come before the Fitch Mountain Association
membership at this time, the trustees decided not to have a general membership
meeting in January. (The picnic/barbeque area at Chanticleer is already reserved
for the annual meeting on July 11th--put the date on your calendar now!)
However, there will be a meeting on Sunday Jan. 10 to discuss service project
priorities and logistics, The meeting is open to anyone who is
interested--trustees, officers, members, prospective members--anyone with good
ideas about how we can work together to make something better on the mountain
for all. The meeting will be at 1:00 pm at the home of Ellen Silge (1840 Redwood
Drive--chug up the hill at the end of Redwood and make a sharp left at the open
gate--call Ellen at 431-0814 if you need further directions).
Also, there will be an FMA newsletter coming out in February. Everyone on our
current email list will be notified when it is available on the website, and
members who do not have access to the internet will receive it via snail mail.
We are hoping that volunteers from a myriad of neighborhoods will take hard
copies to their neighbors as needed--maybe we can talk about that at the
meeting?
I hope to see you on the 10th. (We do have a reasonable amount of parking, but
walking or carpooling is still a good idea if possible.)
Peace--Ellen
